Our Founder

Moyin – Founder & Creative Director of Braidstop | Braids Educator | Beauty Entrepreneur | Industry Leader

Moyin is a visionary hairstylist, educator, and entrepreneur leading a new era of innovation, empowerment, and excellence in the global beauty industry. As the founder and creative director of Braidstop, Moyin is widely recognised for her contributions to advancing Afro hair education, artistry, and representation.

Her foundation in beauty is built on brilliance — holding a Biochemistry degree and a Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Ireland’s top university Trinity College Dublin, Moyin merges scientific knowledge with creative direction to deliver transformative experiences through styling, education, and advocacy. Her deep understanding of hair health and business has shaped Braidstop into more than a brand — it is a movement.

Her work has been seen on billboards, TV, commercial campaigns, fashion runways, and in music videos and on-stage. She has have the honor to work some of the world’s most influential artists, including Ms. Lauryn Hill on her hair team during her 2024 tour, Wizkid, and Brent Faiyaz music video “Piece Of My Heart” and worked on sets for major productions and backstage at Paris Week

At the heart of her mission is education. Through Braidstop Academy, Moyin has trained over 250 students in less than a year, teaching beginners, students and upskilling professionals, and reshaping the narrative around braiding as both a respected craft and a scalable career. From university workshops to apprenticeships and mentorship, she empowers individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive.

In November 2024 Moyin Co-Founded The Hair Summit, UK and Irelands soon to be biggest Afro Hair and Braiding Educational and Networking Platform. By April 2025, Moyin co- hosted two sold-out Hair Summit events in London and Dublin, drawing over 150 attendees across both cities.

The events welcomed esteemed guests including the President of the Irish Hairdressers Federation, President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing and Founder of Boucleme among many notable hairstylists in the industry!

Her impact has led to invitations to speak at high-profile institutions, including the BBC, where she addressed Afro hair representation in media, sparking powerful conversations around inclusion and visibility. Further cementing her role as a leader in the future of hairdressing, she currently sits on the Youth Board of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, helping shape the next generation of talent and policy in the UK’s most respected hair organisation.

Beyond education and events, Moyin leads Braidstop’s growing product division, promoting all things hair through curated tools, haircare essentials, and content designed to educate and inspire. With every braid, class, and conversation, she builds legacy — turning passion into purpose, and purpose into impact.
